Understanding our Travel Fee Policy

At Snap2Close, we want to ensure transparency and clarity when it comes to our travel fee policy. Here’s everything you need to know about how our travel fee is calculated and how it benefits our photographers:

Mileage-Based Fee: Our travel fee is based on mileage, and we use a tiered approach to calculate the cost. While the IRS standard mileage rate is 70 cents per mile, our rate is 40 cents per mile for the first 35 miles and 70 cents per mile for any additional miles thereafter. This allows us to fairly compensate our photographers for their travel expenses while also keeping the cost reasonable for our customers.

Round Trip Calculation: The miles used to calculate the travel fee are based on the round trip distance from the photographer’s home to the location of the photoshoot. This ensures that the travel fee accurately reflects the distance traveled by the photographer to provide their services.

Direct Payment to Photographers: It’s important to note that 100% of the travel fee goes directly to the photographer. We believe in supporting our photographers and compensating them fairly for their time and travel expenses. By paying the travel fee directly to the photographer, we ensure that they are adequately rewarded for their hard work and dedication to their craft.
